Synopsis of the project “Take Me Dancing”

Carla loves Raúl, and Raúl loves Carla.

Carla believes she can live by her own rules, in a world without stereotypes where men and women do not adopt predefined roles, and she cannot understand why Raúl chooses to live within those limits when they are also a prison for him.

Raúl feels comfortable with how things work and trusts he can be happy with Carla, even though she lives in constant conflict.

When, playing a foolish game, they both kiss other people, their different ways of seeing life come to light. Raúl will try to confine Carla within the parameters he finds acceptable, and she, although she will try to find her place, will eventually rebel against them.

The roles each must adopt based on their gender, the demands of a monogamous relationship, commitment, motherhood, and the disconnection they will ultimately feel from one another will push them to the limit, turning them into enemies rather than partners.

Carla will fight to break free from everything to move forward, while Raúl will not give up his determination to keep her by his side.

When they realize that everything is over, will they know how to end it, or will it be the end of everything they know?

“Take Me Dancing” is a story of love and heartbreak, of searching for identity, and of the struggle against gender roles, aimed at all those who, at some point, have wanted to rebel against the established order.
